Programs

  • Getting Kids Places.

A new initiative aimed at improving school attendance and engagement in after-school and weekend activities. Focusing on the Cairns southern corridor, this program partners with Bentley Park College to support the mental health and overall well-being of children. Vehicles are available for use, subject to availability.

  • Embracing Culture.

In collaboration with local Aboriginal artist Kevin Edmonstone and equipment supplier Just Hockey/Mazon, we co-design unique trophy and shirt designs that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island culture. This effort fosters national pride and supports efforts to close the gap in social, economic and individual well-being.

  • Bridging Horizons.

Our Sport Leader Training program equips individuals with leadership skills that go beyond traditional coaching, emphasising communication, planning, and problem-solving. Available online and in-person, this training supports sport-specific accreditation and prepares volunteers and paid workers to excel as sport leaders.

  • Community Hub.

Our Community Hub offers a nurturing space for activities that build self-worth and leadership among young women and girls, running three times a week. It integrates specialised mentoring to support academic and personal growth, focusing on empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth.

  • Multi-sport Programs.

Utilising sport as a vehicle for engagement, our multi-week, multi-sport programs are delivered in accessible community spaces with partners. These programs connect national introductory activities with local traditional games, enhancing wellness, connectivity, and fun while teaching new skills and promoting activity.

  • School to Club.

We enhance active participation through school partnerships that focus on decision-making, critical thinking, and moral reasoning. Our programs promote team building and leadership development, and are customisable to meet specific school needs for sustained community participation.

  • Aspire Deadly 5's.

A dynamic adaptation of hockey that's fast, engaging, and designed for fewer players in smaller spaces, making it perfect for diverse communities. This flexible program can be easily tailored to specific local needs, allowing for the interchange of various sports and the inclusion of traditional games.

  • ACCL- Aspire Community

A sports-based engagement program aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Global Development Goals, driving education, well-being and employment support that can be adapted for use across regions, schools, sports organisations, and government entities. This customisable program meets diverse community needs, driving empowerment, inclusivity and impact.

Our achievements to date.

Since 2015, Aspire Community has effectively combined strong community engagement with an adaptable framework that responds to local needs while ensuring governance and integrity in reporting.
