Tablelands Deadly 5’s

It’s great to see the Deadly 5’s program expanding across the region. The Tablelands Deadly 5’s Program is supported through the Queensland Government First Nations Sports Program and is a multi-sport collaboration across the communities of Mount Surprise, Mount Garnet, Ravenshoe, Herberton, Atherton, and Mareeba.

The multi-week, multi-sport approach embraces and advances the building of local capacities in particular First Nations participants, family, and community members. Deadly 5’s is fast, inclusive and lots of fun and we are partnering with local schools in these regions to ensure maximum participation opportunities. 2 Deadly 5’s events are scheduled in June 2024.

Aspire Community has partnered with Hockey Australia and Hockey Queensland to offer an aligned Hookin2Hockey participation program specially tailored to meet the needs of the local participants across this region. We are excited to partner with them and advance participation opportunities.
